The project refers to the design of the new administration and health service building of the Social Insurance Institute , in the town of Pyrgos. The proposal, emphasizes on the architectural legibility and the public character of the building, which intends to become a new landmark in the urban fabric. The arrangement, volume and shape of the building are defined by the use of a diagonal axis, which enables the creation of an inviting public square in the given territory. The converging sides of the building provide different and constantly changing perspectives. The linearity of the facade is disrupted by vertical surfaces, that correspond both to the main entrances of the building and the design of the square.
