The contest required the design of an educational building-complex, which would accommodate the Music School facilities, in the city of Kalamata. The proposal was composed based on the idea of a longitudinal "synthetic" axis, which develops parallel to the main road access. The Concert Hall of the Music school does not follow the direction of the main axis, differentiates from the rest facilities as regards its architectural form and constitutes the "cross sectional area" between the educational complex and the city, designed as a cultural facility referring to the whole district. The "atrium", situated at the heart of the complex, creates an "interaction space" between the external and internal environment of the buildings.
