The project refers to the protection and enhancement of the archaeological site of "The Lyceum of Aristotle", in the city centre of Athens, between Rigillis Street and Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. The remains of the Lyceum were excavated in 1996 and constitute a site of great archaeological value, dating from the 4th century BC. The project involves; a.the design of a shelter for the protection of the "Palestra" area [the place where wrestling used to take place in ancient times], b. the protection and highlight of the ancient findings and monuments and c. the design of walkways for the visitors within the site, so that it could be open to public.
