The objective of the study is the creation of an overall development plan for each settlement, as part of a wider policy framework aiming to the revitalization of region as a whole. The development plans primarily included regeneration projects for the improvement of the public space experience within the residential areas, emphasizing on the protection and enhancement of their natural and architectural features.  The study consisted of two design phases. The second phase involved the detailed design of the project(s) regarded as priority actions, for each settlement.
