The project involves the establishment of architectural guidelines for building construction in settlements residing up to 2000 residents. The proposal forms a policy  oriented to the improvement of the current regulatory framework as regards; a. the protection and enhancement of rural architectural heritage, emphasizing on the values of local architecture as expressed in a time-honoured use of materials, proportions, building techniques and architectural details, b. the harmonious integration of new buildings into their settings, promoting a contemporary local architecture based on a creative approach deriving from the spirit of traditional architecture.
