This project refers to the capacity assessment and subsequent strengthening of an existing concrete building constructed in 1971. For the investigation of mechanical and geometric properties of destructive and non-destructive techniques are employed, including Georadar application for determining the geometry of steel tendons of pre-stressed girders. The load-bearing capacity upgrade is achieved through the strengthening of existing members (e.g. via reinforced concrete jackets) and the addition of new shear walls.
